Why was everyone always telling her that she was beautiful? She didn’t feel pretty and nobody seemed to care when it came to hiring her. Even Cole hadn’t cared and he always told her how beautiful she was. A lot of good it had done her, she thought. Her mom left her alone, while coming back in an hour later with some Chinese take-out and a newspaper.
