He sensed her uneasiness, reading it as a sign of shyness, rather than an unwillingness to participate. He gently smoothed her hair from around her face, pushing her blonde locks behind her ear. Her breath caught in her throat, as he caressed her cheek and throat with the tip of his thumb. She was too scared to move. She felt his eyes upon her, boring down hard. She was reluctant to turn her head, afraid of the longing she would see in his eyes.
