“Even though I hated it, I am glad I did it. I learned a lot about myself and about other people.” Lisa and Cole were having a picnic on the beach.

“I don’t regret dancing.” Lisa stated, proudly.

Cole didn’t agree, but smiled sadly.

He wasn’t so sure that it had been a good thing. The conversation reminded him about the obstacles that still lay ahead of them, and that was Joe. Joe was still paying for Lisa’s apartment, her car, her utilities, and all her acting and voice classes.

Joe was responsible for everything she had, not Cole. This arrangement bothered Cole a lot and everywhere he looked, it made him think of Joe.
