A MONSTER UNDER MY BED
Sometimes, as I sit in class, surrounded by other kids just like me, I close my eyes…letting my thoughts take me to a better a place.
A place where I can be myself and not pretend to be somebody I’m not. A place free of judgments. I like it here…I feel safe.
Suddenly, I’m startled out of my trance by the bell. My peers hurry out the door.
Slowly I drag myself out of my seat, grabbing my backpack…I think, “It’s just another day as a high school teenager.”

The Lost Diary of Jane Doe
To love someone is to be vulnerable,
vulnerability is raw.
Simplicity of love is to love completely,
but love is one-sided.
Love someone deeply,
but they don’t love you the same.
Or do we simply accept the person who loves us,
therefore, not loving them passionately back by being shielded.
Love is risk,
protecting our heart means not loving back.
Can two people love each other at the same time,
Or is it one-sided.
Complete and passionate love are both hearts uniting into one.
