I wonder if this is how she felt…
Everyday is a constant struggle just to stay alive, nothing makes your happy, tired of trying to be happy, can’t imagine this dull pain inside your heart forever…with the hopelessness.
The feeling that you are all alone even though you know you have people who dearly love you.
There is help and you are not alone

I wonder what love is
When I press my lips up to yours
I feel its lust but you say it’s love.
And when I press a cigarette against my lips
I wonder what love is
Love, this isn’t it, only addiction.
It feels more like love, though
Rather than your lips, a cigarette
Making my lungs full.
It feels safer, though
People say cigarettes are bad and addictive
But I say it’s you.

LOST
Somewhere between the age of eleven and fourteen we lost her.
Please note that I don’t write and post these images and words for my own recognition or salvation…I do this so other teens and parents, who may see our site, find a sense of knowledge and or comfort, knowing that they are not alone in this.
We want to get the word out that teen depression and suicide is real and we are determined to reach out to as many readers as we can…if we can help save just one life from suicide, then our job was worth it and Jewels’ death wasn’t for nothing.

Are you Serious?
One of my wonderful bloggers sent me a great article on Teen Depression and this is a quote from the authors at Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society of Pennsylvania:
“Take seriously any comments or hints regarding suicide”
Teens don’t always want to talk to us…especially their parents, so we when they do speak out, it is very important for us to listen to them…I mean really listen!

SIBLINGS…
When a child dies, especially to suicide and so young, everyone seems to focus on the parents, and their pain and sorrow, and especially the mother’s anguish.
However, sometimes there are siblings who are forgotten. They too have a special kind of loss.
She has lost their best friend.
Who will she share their future memories?
Who will she call late at night when she just needs someone there to listen to her and to laugh with her?
Who will be her Maid of Honor at her wedding?
Who will she call with the great news that she will be an aunt?
Who will she roll her eyes at during Thanksgiving dinner when annoying family members show up at the door?
Who will she talk to about “Remember when’s…”?
Who will she share her memories? And who will she create new memories?
This is especially hard when she is now the only child.
When a sibling dies, all future special occasions will be forever changed.
We, as parents and support groups, must remember their grieving process because when a sibling dies, they lose a part of their past, present and future.
Here is a support group, chat site, for siblings grieving a loss of a sibling:

NINE LIVES
I just found this poem Jewels wrote, she wrote last February 2016. I think it’s probably one of the saddest of them all, but such a great insight into the mind of someone suffering from depression:

NINE LIVES
One:
Full of happiness
Giggles and laughter
Innocence is not lost
Two:
A new friend today
I am still young
Pure like clouds
Three:
Adolescence
Not all is happy
My smile is still big
Four:
You fill me with joy
Pure joy
I am happy
Five:
Gone, just like that.
I’m so confused-
Why am I getting so many chances?
Six:
Torn, ripped
Broken and bruised
Innocence is lost
Seven:
Happiness is gone
Let me give up
I’m so, so tired.
Eight:
Shaking, like I’m freezing
Can’t do this much longer.
Why’s life unfair?
Nine:
Damaged.
Nothing but bad memories.
I miss life one.
FINALLY, I AM DEAD.
